ComparePetCover is free to use. Some insurer links may pay us a fixed referral fee. This page explains exactly how we make money and, just as importantly, how we keep our reviews honest and independent.
How we are funded
Some links to insurance providers on our site can be partner (affiliate) links. When you request a quote through one of them, the provider may pay us a fixed referral fee. That fee is the same whether or not you buy a policy. ComparePetCover is not an insurance agent or broker, does not sell insurance, and is not paid on policy sales. This comes at no extra cost to you: the price is exactly the same as going to the provider directly.
Our independence promise
Partner payments never change our scores or the order of providers in any table: our state and city comparison tables and our homepage table are ordered by our published score. A partner may point out a factual error or a legal compliance issue in content that mentions it. We correct errors; we do not change a score, a provider's position, or our opinion at a partner's request. We score providers on coverage breadth, value for money, claims experience, limits and flexibility, and transparency, not on what they pay us. A provider that pays us nothing is scored on exactly the same basis as one that pays us.
Why we tell you this
You deserve to know how a site you rely on for money decisions is funded. Being upfront about it is part of earning your trust, and it is required of honest publishers.
